REAP For Good was born from a deep sense of anxiety and an overwhelming desire to stand up against injustice during one of the most turbulent times in our country. At the heart of our movement is the Blue Hat — a direct and intentional protest against the red MAGA hat. Where the red hat has come to symbolize division and regression, the Blue Hat stands for hope, progress, and the unwavering strength of democracy.
Blue represents unity and resilience, while yellow symbolizes light, optimism, and a beacon to guide us forward. Together, these colors also express solidarity with the people of Ukraine. By proudly wearing a Blue Hat, you're making a bold statement: that democracy matters, that hate has no home here, and that we will not be silent.
Our guiding principles — Resist, Educate, Advocate, and Persist— form the acronym REAP, as in “we reap what we sow.” While some sow seeds of hatred, exclusion, and fear, we choose to sow diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Blue Hat Movement allows REAPers to recognize and uplift one another, making resistance more visible and unified. With your help, we can drown out the red hat wave with a Blue Hat tsunami.
100% of our funding comes from Blue Hat sales, and 20% of all sales are split equally between the ACLU Foundation, Planned Parenthood, and the Southern Poverty Law Center — organizations on the front lines of the fight for justice, bodily autonomy, and civil rights.
